Bed and Breakfast at Spillers Farm, Musbury, Nr Axminster, Devon.  Five minutes from River Cottage HQ.

The Farmhouse Bedrooms at Spillers Farm are spacious and attractively decorated and have comfortable beds.  Bed linen and towels are provided as well as toiletries.

The rooms are equipped with flat screen digital TVs, alarm clock radios, hair dryers, torches, complimentary bathrobes, mini fridges with fresh milk and a well stocked hospitality tray including tea, herbal and green tea, coffee and hot chocolate, biscuits, local Devon bottled still and sparkling mineral water, corkscrew and glasses.  All rooms are centrally heated and double glazed. Ironing facilities provided on request.  Travel cot available by prior arrangement.  Free Wireless Internet is in all rooms.  Please bring your own laptop.

The Kingsize Room has gorgeous views of our own lake and features an extra large kingsize bed as well as another single bed and an en-suite bathroom with large massaging shower cubicle. The kingsize bed can be split into two single beds and if this is a more suitable arrangement - please let us know before your arrival. This is the most suitable room for children under five as it is separate from other rooms in the house.  We rarely allow children and babies in rooms except the Kingsize Room - please call us if there are young children in your party to enable us to direct you to the best room(s). Dogs are welcome in the Cottage only. The Kingsize Room and the Superior Room are en-suite. The Superior Room has a double bed and an en-suite shower room.  The Double Room has a double bed and is not en-suite.  It shares a bathroom with the Twin Room and we cannot guarantee that the bathroom will be available on a private basis so please bear this in mind when making your booking.  Our beds are covered with duck feather duvets as are the pillows.  Should you require non-feather bedding and pillows please let us know. For those who may be allergic to domestic animals, please note we have a dog and a cat.

Our generous breakfasts are served in the Tea Rooms at the time that you choose until 9.30am. They feature fruit juice and a choice of cereals including Bridget’s home made luxury muesli, followed by a Full English Breakfast including sausages and home-made, hand-cured bacon made from our own rare breed pigs, free range eggs (our own duck’s or hen’s) our own home-grown tomatoes (when in season), mushrooms and beans, plus toast with homemade jam (made with fruit grown on the farm) or marmalade and a pot of tea or coffee.  We can also make omelettes to order which is a popular choice with our vegetarian guests.  Naturally we also offer boiled or scrambled eggs. 

There is ample well-lit parking, large gardens in which guests are welcome to sit or you may prefer to take a walk around, sit by or paddle about our lake in our boat and admire the water lillies and the antics of our ducks.

Our Holiday Cottage is also let on a bed and breakfast basis subject to availability - primarily as a large double room with spacious lounge diner, bathroom and shower room.  When available, it is listed on our online Bed and Breakfast bookings system. The rate shown on the online booking system is just for two person occupancy.  The cottage also has a twin bedroom, so therefore can accommodate four people.  Please contact us for rates for four on a B&B basis.

If you are arriving after 6pm we would appreciate a phone call.  There is a £5 supplement on each room for one night stays.  A supplement of £10 is payable for a one-night stay in the cottage regardless of the number of occupants. Bookings for New Years' Eve are also subject to a £10 supplement per room.

Single occupancy rates for 2012 are: £45 in the twin room and £50 in the double.  We are unable to offer a discount on the superior and kingsize rooms for single occupancy due to their demand.
